Holiday Notice: Easter 2024
Easter Sunday & Monday
The dates of Easter change from year to year but it usually falls sometime between the end of March and the end of April.
This year, Easter Sunday will be observed on Sunday, March 31st. This is based on the Gregorian calendar.
Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring, which starts on 21 March. The Eastern Orthodox churches, which follow the Julian calendar, have a slightly different way of calculating Easter and usually celebrate Easter a little earlier or later.
