Holiday Notice: National Day of China
Friday, October 1st
The National Day marks the start of one of the two Golden Weeks in the Peoples Republic of China.
Friday October 1st is a statutory holiday, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd are statutory holidays, but fall at the weekend, so Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th are given in lieu. Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th are holiday; working schedules are transferred to Sunday September 26th and Saturday October 9th. The whole weekend of 25–26 September is cancelled. This is officially counted as seven days' holiday (Friday-Thursday).

The National Day is celebrated throughout mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.
